‘Room on the River’ is a family owned Bed and Breakfast situated by the bank of the ‘Water of Cruden’ river which flows through Cruden Bay. Our architecturally-designed home – ‘Burnbrae House’ – has its own self-contained ensuite bedroom furnished to a high specification for your comfort. We are in a perfect, peaceful location for exploring all that Cruden Bay has to offer from its beautiful gold sandy beaches to the traditional Scottish Links golf course, as well as the surrounding Aberdeenshire coastline and countryside. House is in original grounds of golf course with club house a 2 minute walk and 1st tee just 5 minutes away. Just leave the car at house and enjoy your golf and walks all week! Alternatively, the bus service is 2 mins from the door with regular service to Aberdeen & Peterhead.

House has 6 bedrooms, with 3 downstairs and 3 upstairs. There are 2 master bedrooms both with en suite. Downstairs has king sized bed, large shower cubicle and TV. Upstairs has super king sized bed, whirlpool bath with lights and TV in bedroom. The Beach House - Cruden Bay

Bram Stroker himself holidayed in Cruden Bay back in the late 1800’s and many believe that the Local Slains castle inspired Dracula.

Proctor’s Holiday Cottage is a delightful four-bedroom / four bathroom dwelling house created specifically for golfing parties sampling the delights of our beautiful Scottish golf courses. It sleeps up to eight people in absolute comfort.

The Aberdeenshire holiday cottage was recently converted from a 130 year old steading (barn) and has been beautifully appointed. The thick granite walls, slated roof and double glazing throughout creates a spacious but cosy base for your Safari around some of the best golf courses in the North East of Scotland. Under-floor heating in the cottage ensures that if you do get caught in a shower or are brave enough to tackle our winter weather, you will always have a warm, dry comfortable base to return to.

A large open plan Lounge, Kitchen and Diner, ideal for “Aprés golf” relaxation and entertaining. The cottage has a large flat screen TV and Wi-Fi. Outside, there is a large patio with a table and seating for eight so you can enjoy dining “Alfresco” using the gas Bar-B-Que if you prefer.

Two of the twin bedrooms have en-suite shower rooms and the third twin bedroom is next door to the main bathroom which has a bath and separate shower cubical. The fourth bedroom which is a double / twin room also has an en-suite shower room. The four showers available were put in place so that up to eight keen golfers could all get ready at the same time (albeit in two shifts)!

And while you’re waiting for your turn in the shower, there is a 12 metre x 8 metre “all-weather” putting green c/w 4 holes, two driving cages and two chipping areas to practice on.

There are plenty of good restaurants and bars, as well as a theatre and shopping locally. The region boasts more castles per acre than anywhere else in the UK, so take time to soak up the historic past in the surrounding area. The cottage is close to Royal Deeside where the beautiful scenery begs to be explored. The area is rich in outdoor activities with several wildlife reserves nearby, forest walks, hill-walking around Lochnagar, as well as ancient monuments. The beach is only 12 miles away and there is a shop, pub and restaurant within 1 mile. Golfers are amply catered for with over 20 courses within a 20-mile radius, including Cruden Bay Golf Club, Trump International Links, Royal Aberdeen.

The cottage is accessed by a 120 metre-long driveway with your privacy protected by electric gates
